- Increasing pain
- Redness and itching
- Intense local pain
- Nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain
- Excessive sweating
- Muscle spasm

Additional symptoms for a redback spider bite include:
- Excess saliva
- Uncontrolled tears
- Breathing difficulty
- Body hair standing on end
- Numb mouth
- Fast pulse
- Muscle twitching
- Confusion and disorientation
- Loss of consciousness
