Viruses that Cause Rashes

  • Chickenpox
  • Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD)
  • Measles
  • Roseola infantum

These viruses are all contagious and the rashes caused by them have different characteristics.

Allergy-Related Rashes

  • Hives
  • Blotchy skin or swelling on face, lips or eyes

Other Causes of Rashes

  • Skin conditions such as eczema or ringworm
