What are the symptoms of a tropical jellyfish sting?
A Box jellyfish sting can result in a variety of side effects. They include:
- Tentacles at the sting site
- Pain at the sting site
- High heart rate and blood pressure
- Difficulty breathing as long lungs flood with fluid
- Cardiac arrest
- Severe pain, typically in the back and abdomen
- Nausea or vomiting
- Inflammation
- Sweating
- Anxiety and feelings of impending doom
